All Types Of Skin Lesions
A skin lesion is a part of the skin that has an abnormal growth or appearance compared to the skin around it. The lesions are excised under local anaesthetic using an antiseptic technique, and if necessary is sent for histology to the lab.
Lipoma
A lipoma is a lump under the skin that occurs due to an overgrowth of fat cells. Doctors consider lipomas to be benign tumours, which means that they are non-cancerous growths. However, people may wish to remove a lipoma that causes pain, complications, or other symptoms.
Sebaceous Cysts
These cysts are closed sacs that can be found under the skin
The term “sebaceous cyst” refers to either an epidermoid cyst, which originates from the skin or a pilar cyst, which comes from hair follicles. Sebaceous cysts may be caused by blocked glands or swollen hair follicles in the skin. In some cases, however, cysts can get inflamed and become tender to the touch.
The skin on the area of the cyst may be red and/or warm. Sebaceous cysts can become infected. If the cyst ruptures, it can lead to a boil-like infection, and you will need treatment right away. In most cases, however, no complications or side effects occur after treatment to drain or remove the cysts surgically under local anaesthetic using the antiseptic technique.
Skin Tags
A skin tag is a small, soft, flesh-coloured benign skin growth, often on a stalk.
Skin tags are probably the single most common bump on adult skin.
Skin tags are harmless but can be an annoying skin problem.
Skin tags tend to occur on the eyelids, neck, armpits, groin folds, and under breasts.
A person may have multiple skin tags.
They are excised using local anaesthetic and antiseptic technique.

Partial nail removal only involves removing the piece of nail that is digging into your skin, The initial surgical approach is typically a partial avulsion of the nail plate known as a wedge resection or a complete removal of the toenail, procedure is performed under local anaesthetic using antiseptic technique dressing is applied and wound is reviewed on regular intervals.
